Thinking of moving to Greens Norton?
In the 14th century the village of Norton was sold to Sir Henry de Grene for the sum of twenty shillings (£1.00) and subsequently became known as Greens Norton.
The impact of inflation on land and property prices means that such bargains are no longer available, but this civil parish of approximately 1,500 inhabitants has much to offer.
It is perfectly located for those wanting access by road to the M1, Northampton, Milton Keynes via the A5 (Watling Street) or Oxford (A43). The road from Towcester to Southampton and Portsmouth is all dual carriageway, and those seeking a change of scenery can be in The Cotswolds in less than an hour. Brackley is about twelve miles away and it’s just over six miles to Silverstone Circuit.
The village is an ideal location for families seeking a rural location but maintaining the convenience of nearby local amenities which include local convenience store / post office, butchers, and doctors surgery. The Saxon church of St Bartholomew holds regular services and is Grade I listed. In addition, there are 27 Grade II listed buildings in the village. The Butchers Arms, having been registered as an ACV (Asset of Community Value) was taken over by a consortium, including members of the community, and after refurbishment reopened in 2017 to provide a range of services for locals and visitors.
The Parish Councillors work hard to ensure that Greens Norton is a good place in which to live, and they publish newsletters to keep locals apprised of developments. The Parish Council also maintain a delightful pocket park of approximately 2 hectares where wetland, grasslands, woods, and a pond create a fully accessible wildlife and nature reserve.

Greens Norton Pocket Park
The village is served by several schools, providing educational options for families living in and around the village. The village is home to Greens Norton Church of England Primary School, catering to younger children, while Towcester provides additional primary schools such as Nicholas Hawksmoor and Towcester Church of England School. For secondary education, Sponne School in Towcester serves the area, offering both academic and extracurricular opportunities, including a sixth form. Families may also explore other educational institutions in the wider Northamptonshire area such as private schooling at Akeley Wood, Winchester House, Northampton High School for Girls, Stowe, and Rugby School.
Greens Norton is just 2 miles from the historic Roman market town of Towcester town where a wide range of lively and independent boutique shops, cafes and restaurants can be found all with the delightful River Tove meandering close by. With access to access to the A5 and M1 motorway, the village is also an easy commute to Milton Keynes where a wide range of shops and facilities are available as well as Milton Keynes Central Railway Station with direct and frequent trains to London Euston.
Those seeking a balance between the advantages of urbanization and life in an English village that has more than a touch of Midsomer about it, could well find it in Greens Norton.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
We have provided professional property advice in and around Northamptonshire since 2003. However, our connections with the county go much further back and we are proud to have a deep bond with the area, the communities, the people, and the buildings.
Photography
Creating the best first impression of your home is essential in order to achieve a quick sale. Our professional photography is captured using the highest quality professional grade cameras, lenses and flashes. We do not use fish-eye lenses to give a false impression; however, we will spend time preparing and improving the RAW image data in professional software to ensure that your home is presented in its best light with images that will induce a ‘show-home’ appeal.
Floor Plans
Our in-house surveyors are experienced CAD operatives and we draft all our own floor plans. This enables us to ensure a higher degree of accuracy than the typical estate agent floor plan. We also provide a level of detail that enables potential purchasers to understand the space and amenities within your home. We obtain our measurements for the floor plans using the latest laser scanners which helps to ensure quick, safe, and accurate collection of data.
3D Virtual Tours (Matterport)
