Meet the Team
David Cosby | MRICS
Principal Director | Building Surveyor
David is Principal Director and a Chartered Building Surveyor with over twenty five years of experience. He leads our surveying team, with particular expertise in building pathology, land and measured surveys, and residential property surveys. Known for his clear, practical advice, David focuses on helping clients plan repairs and maintenance in a sensible, cost effective way. Outside work, David enjoys watercolour painting and walking his dog Silky.
Natasha Cosby MNAEA | Solicitor
Director | Practice Manager
Natasha is a Director of the firm and a former Property Solicitor with extensive experience in residential and commercial conveyancing. She oversees much of the legal and compliance side of the practice, drawing on her background in contract, title, and landlord and tenant law to support clients through sales, purchases, and more complex transactions. Away from the office, Natasha can often be found with a crime novel in hand – particularly Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series or a classic Poirot.
Gareth Powell | MARLA
Sales & Lettings Manager
Gareth is our Sales and Lettings Manager and has worked in the property sector for over twenty years. He is responsible for day to day sales and lettings operations, from market appraisals and valuations through to negotiation and progression of transactions. Away from work, Gareth is a keen golfer and a committed Formula One fan – especially when Lando Norris is on the grid.
Virginia Church | MRICS
Building Surveyor
Virginia is a Chartered Building Surveyor and has been part of the team since 2003. She has over twenty years’ experience, with a particular focus on commercial property, dilapidations, and specific defect reporting. Outside of surveying, Virginia enjoys riding horses and is more than capable of holding her own at the snooker table.
Radoslaw Myzsak
Land Surveyor
Radek has worked with David Cosby since 2017 and provides detailed topographical surveys of residential and commercial sites as well as undertaking underground utilities surveys. With his ‘can-do, no problem’ attitude Radek has earned a reputation as being unflappable and cool-headed in all situations.
Jason Bartlett
Land Surveyor & Measured Building Surveyor
Jason is a Land Surveyor and Measured Building Surveyor whose work focuses on the precise measurement and recording of land and buildings. His surveys support a wide range of instructions, from heritage projects where sensitive, accurate recording is essential, through to new development schemes and extensions that require reliable base drawings for architects and engineers. Jason is also involved in monitoring movement cracking for insurance and defect diagnosis, where consistent, repeatable measurements are critical.

Alan Jones MCIAT
Architectural Technician
Alan has worked with David Cosby since 2009 and has successfully succefully obtained Planning Approval, Listed Building Consent, and Building Control Approval on a wide range of commercial and residential projects. Recent projects include conference centres, surgeries, office and industrial units, and many residential extensions and new builds. Alan has an in-depth knowledge of construction and planning and his friendly approach has led to many clients referring Alan for further architectural design work.
Steven Hickman
Revit Modeller / BIM Expert
Steven’s meticulous attention to detail is perfectly aligned with the High Definition Surveying (HDS) data that he uses to create his models. He has delivered large scale commercial Revit models for architects, facilities managers, and fire safety experts consistently meeting deadlines and clients needs.

Measured Building Surveyor
Jack specializes in photogrammetry and High Definition Surveying (HDS). He is an expert in the advanced data processing techniques that combine the technologies. Jacks surveying background, love for technology and his background of working for companies including Leica Geosystems have ensured that he’s at the forefront of the industry.
James Maxwell
Consultant Scanning Surveyor and UAV Pilot
James is a fully qualified commercial UAV pilot and has completed many complex UAV / High Definition Surveying (HDS) projects for us, sometimes in challenging environments. James is passionate about providing the most complete and accurate survey data which helps us to compile detailed survey drawings
Lawrence Linskey AssocRICS DipRSV MRPSA
Building Surveyor
Lawrence has an impressive Military career as an RAF pilot and instructor. After leaving the RAF, Lawrence retrained with SAVA to become an Associate of the RICS specialising in residential property surveys. Lawrence is the newest member of the surveying team at David Cosby but his extensive experience, training, and pride in the work he undertakes ensures he always achieves the highest of standards.
